Haven't seen it, but that's no indication it's not there. We have quite a few diamonds...
hopefully it's out there feeding chicks
and it can't possibly be the only one! (touchwood

Maybe when Shark checks out this post he will make a comment as he said he had yellow diamonds in his intro post. He mentioned his old webpage, and after a bit of searching I found it and put a link in.

Hi .I would like to share these photos with everybody ..my mate has a large collection of birds .. a mixture of finches and parrots .Every now and again he has a Yellow Diamond appear ,for him its a common occurrence ..We read things like " There are extinct in Australia" or there Diet turned them Yellow
Its funny not all people use the internet ,I have friends that aren't in any finch clubs and have never looked at Facebook or any bird forum ,so when they produce a bird like this ,most of the time they don't even take a photo of it ,and these photos are never posted on the net ...So we really don't have a clue what's out there Cheers Alan

A lot of recessive mutations have turned up in avairys over the years and got lost due to people not recognising their value. The internet has altered this somewhat because people do post and ask. Nice to know the gene is still out there. Thanks for the pic and good luck to your mate in keeping them.
