Get some of the other native quial, they don't breed as well as the Kings, & nearly always demand outstrips supply. If your not registered, Browns & Stubble Quial, & Painted & Little Button-Quial are off the list, if you are, Black-Breasted are on a Class 1 & all others are on a Class 2. The only problem is actually locating them to start with, & they are a lot dearer than Kings, $60 - $500 a pair.

Matcho,

I would be collecting all the beetles and larvae, get yourself a large plastic storage box put in some pollard, hession over the top with with some carrot and breed worms, save you buying in the future, beetles can lay thousands of eggs. In a few months you'll have plenty of minis. Happy days.
