Cute babies!
Finchman not one of my Yellows have ever had white nodules. All mine are blue. I obviously don't have any Aussie yellows avail, only the Euro type.

Read the "Gouldians - what are we?" Threads for our experiences. As it would seem the crossing of Austraian and European Yellows in not too uncommon. Sometimes intentionally, sometimes through lack of knowledge. And the results are very nice.

Hi FM101
Looks like an AY to me could turn out to be both sex linked yellow and AY, you will get a better idea when he starts to feather up.

Definitely is starting to look AY to me as the beak colour of all my euro yellows is alot darker as well as the insides of their mouths as compared to the baby in the pic below.

FM it is possible for a bird to be genetically both Euro yellow and Aus yellow as they are inherited differently and separately. This scenario is no different to a Euro yellow blue bird. I have a black headed white breasted yellow hen which I kinda think is such a mix as the back is almost clear with the tiniest amount of flecking but her father was Euro yellow and the mother was a normal possibly split for Aus yellow. The bird is not split if it carries two Aus yellow genes, which in my bird's case could have happened if the father was also (unknowingly) split for Aus yellow.
