Hey
You can get carry boxes there, or you can borrow one of mine. Crazy Cuban and I are coming together.
Sales are conducted in a rather unorganised manner where swarms of people descend on the birds all neatly lined up in rows when the doors open... there are some auctions but young is not one of them.
You buy from the breeder so a good chance to ask questions. ALWAYS ask for a ph. number or email so you can contact them, if a bird dies within a few days of bringing it home many will offer to replace said bird, or if you lose it in the future you can always see if they have any more for sale.
Looking forward to seeing you there! (dark green shirt, Aussie Finch Forum hat, come say hi!)

I don't know if what you are saying re "if a bird dies it may be replaced" is correct.
Its a very mute point if a bird is replaced or not.
As for me I may concider it rarely but there are to many variables comming into it.
If a bird is lost nearly every time the thought is something was wrong with the bird which in my opinion is rarely correct.
Over the years I have had some beauties. The person who rang saying half the birds they purchased died within 2 days and
demanded their money back. I couldn't work it out as they had picked them up early well before lunch.
The first question I asked was when did you release them into your aviary, they said around 5.30(hour before dark)
When I asked why without hesitation he said they had to attend a family BBQ first. The birds had no water nothing
as I was of the opinion they were going home then and there. Guess what no refund and no more supply.
Another left them in his garage over night without food or water and wondered why they were dead.
These are only a few examples,if I see a bird looking even slightly off colour I with draw it.
So please don't expect a refund as it may have been your fault, buyer beware!!!

very fair points Orix. unbelievable
!
I suppose you could at least have a conversation, if only to try and work out cause of any loss.
Shame I didn't get to meet up with you IGF, did you get the gouldians off the guy right at the front?

Nah I tried him for a Spare cock bird he was sold out .... I got them from the women other side of him almost to the other end of the hall .... I'm still disappointed about the yellows
.... Hanging out for yass now . I did buy myself a $10 transport box though lol ...
Just wish I had of ended up with the yellows ... but a few of those hens did look a bit unwell so it might have been a good thing I dibbed out .... What's Yass normally like ??? Do they tend to have yellows or blues?
