Good news guys one of the eggs hatch this morning :D :D the mum and dad are feeding it and taking good care of it :mrgreen:

Well done Steven. I wouldn't be worried at all about checking Bengalese nests. I have never had a bengalese ditch a nest due to disturbance. I agree totally about other species though.

now you have got a full case of being a finch addict it wont be much longer until you are looking for a few other species to be kept by. hope the babies do well.

Just a quick update on how things are going

Babies are doing well. Mum and Dad are still doing a great job on feeding and caring for them. I think there is one more week left before they fledge or maybe sooner. I will try and get a few pictures when they fledge.

there have been a few owl finches on petlink for sale lately
