Hi Cookey,
From the look of it you described the birds from where they were sitting, not from the perspective of looking at them. Which makes all but one of your choices correct.
As E ORIX has said, the belly colour is usually the easiest to sex from.
At this time of year you can also use the beak colour, as the hens beaks will be starting to go very dark, while the cocks beaks will be starting to go a pearly white.
This can be helpfull sexing white breasted black head birds, as they can get similar colours on the belly. :)

Thanks Polar Gouldians. I note that all of my Gouldians beaks are red on the tips. Is this a normal part of the beak colouring process?

Red heads have red tips, Yellow heads have Yellow tips and Black heads can have red or yellow tips.
A Black head with a red tip is a normal Black head, a Black head with a yellow tip is actualy a Yellow headed bird but the Black gene has masked the over the yellow.

Also when a hens beak starts to go black at the tip it's a sign of breeding season if I remember rightly
