Have you googled any pictures before?

Normal zebras all have the black tear stain look running down from their eyes...

Black cheeks have FULL black cheeks..

$165 for blue Goulds! Yet again, ordering over the internet from Good Ol USofA is cheaper than buying them here    .

Hi Harv, just ficked through a heap of normal zeb pics and i tink your question is valid. The bird does have cheek patches that arent "normal " for a young cock or hen. On normal birds the cheek patches are lighter . I know nothing about mutation zebs and cant really answer your question , light/camera angle also can make cheek patches appear slighly diferent colors in hens. Stick with it and who knows ? BC`s had to start somewhere

The overall opinion is no they are not BCs however what you have may be different indeed soooo just think of the fun you can have breeding them in an effort to perhaps be the first to have bred BCs or something else not yet known here in Oz .

No idea but if you want to make the dark cheeks the aim of your breeding programme then some very limited inbreeding may need to be done of which I am no expert , dont even know if I agree with it but I do know it is necessary to achieve certain mutations .

I think this is something one of the more experienced breeders will have to work with you on .
