When the wife and I went to darwin along that road we pulled into a little known spot on the side of the road and 5 babies budgies came down and landed on the car and van to have a better look at us....we loved the bird life around that area....Zebs looking for water so I fill an old saucepan lid for them out of the water tank there....natamambo wrote:I'll never forget dawn at Barkly Homestead (on the Tennat Creek - Mt Isa raod for those who don't know). Thousands of budgies drinking in a never ending spiral pattern, scooping the water up on the wing, floowing the flock up and back down again. It was an awesome sight nd Deb hearing them sure wasn't a problem. I stood there so transfixed Before I thought of getting the camera the show was over.

Quiet as in silent they are not. Walk down Mum's back yard when they are in chat mode some day. Even 100 budgies can make a cheerful racket.

These 2 seem tolerable compared to the other type which I gave to the grandkids , I dont hear the Bushies , maybe they are using a different tone .
The others used to drive me nuts , never shut up .

Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.
