Can I suggest you take some close up photos of a fixed object to find out how to focus your camera on close objects. Your camera manual will probably tell you what is the closest point an object can be to the camera.

All these photos show is your canary has a foot. There is nothing else to diagnose.

Need a better photo of the foot, even if not so close, but a clearer photo.

I don't have any experience with Bumble foot, as I have never experienced it.

The recommended treatment in the article Bluebutterfly attached is a similar treatment to what I use for mosquito bites.

Have you been able to pierce the sore with a sterilised needle and then dip the toe in diluted Dettol twice a day - morning and night? It usually gets better in about 1 week after treatment.

Is the canary in a cage with timber perches? I use dowel that I rough up with a hacksaw blade so that the birds can get a better grip on the perch.

We have been trying to get a better pic but the camera we have can not do the job (sh%t).
Yes the bird is in a cabinet on timber perches.
We are doing the best we can to help the bird.
Not going to a vet and waste $$$$$$$$ on a $10 bird..
Yes have looked at all links regarding canary foot problems.

We understand your frustration at not being able to get a better photo, but you also have to understand that it limits everyone's ability to help you, as much as we want you.

From what I can see that part of the canary's toe is very dark so may already be dead. Even if this is the case the bird should cope well. It may pay to apply a thin layer of betadine ointment on the toe but avoid getting it on the feathers. This can be repeated daily.

I ahve been soaking both feet in Detol and salt water.
Problem does not seem to be improving just yet
