Even if you dont have a clutch of the same head colour its worth putting the youngsters in another nest. You could mark their legs with a stripe of texta. Ive been told you can get a non toxic semi permanent marker for marking livestock.

Checked them today,
Finch gods must be smiling, RH hen in nest. AS you can see not so skinny now?

Good to see. You could be right about the curious Gouldians being the problem with the painted chicks too. As i have had them (curious Gouldians) put Bengos off nesting. :shifty:
