Will,Mine are fixed to the door.I use a scoop to emty them.the bottom one now has the mealworm and chitted seed in it.as i dont want the worms mixing in seed that i will winnow.they have sides cut into them so when the bird flys of it doesnt spread the seed on the floor. Most of the drums i got from the tip,at the recyling area.

Thanks for the photo's.
Mine's working alright at the moment as I have 6 pair in a large Aviary (7x3x2.5m) but I can see that catch try gonna fill real quick when I hit 20-30 birds.
Mesh & catch tray underneath sounds a good idea mickp, I'll be able to make a bigger catch tray.Should last longer.Looking at others shows me I'll need a bigger tray.
Nice pic there fincher thank for sharing.
Keep them coming everyone this is very useful.

I certainly dont need any more "free" cats.....I get the neighbours cats as freely as they like. So I let my dogs out as freely as I like. Quid pro quo....keeps their cat fit belting for the fence and trying to scramble over before my dogs get to it.
