there are many benefits to spending the extra dollars for freight to get that wanted pair.one of them being that any young from your new pair will become highly sought after as they are seen as fresh blood. I have people in my local bird society asking all the time how many young gouldians I might have available later in the year and thats due to the fresh blood bit.

i have paid $90 from sydney with box. and then $80 with box from brissy but then an extra $20 for the import. i try and get an extra few birds to try and pay for the ones i want or for the freight atlest or ask me mates if they want anything from the person and then we go half in the freight and import permit

i paid $15 for the box and $75 for AAE down the east coast.
still, considering the cheap price of the birds, and that i trusted the breeder to give me good birds more than any seller at a bird sale of the dodgy guy at my local dealer - it wasn't a bad deal at all. i'll buy birds interstate again for sure!
