Sorry to hear BJohn and Vanetta, B looks like your close to the coast there? My house is half a level lower than my next door neighbours so I was a bit protected although our greenhouse structure is all bent and buckled aluminium.
Vanetta the first storm must of persueded the tree and the 2nd storm finished it off, or was the 2nd one stronger your way?

Thanks for your best wishes forum members. I am sure the east coast catches a few bad storms occasionally. Have to replace 27m of fencing, a few roofing sheets from the patio, and wrote the small aviary off. The usual clean up of yard, etc. What did I learn from the experience ? Just what Greg said in an an earlier reply, make the structure very sturdy and tie it into concrete footings if possible. The weather people tell use the winds were a 1 / 10 year event.
Many thanks
BJohn

BJohn, sorry to hear about your losses, and Venetta, glad you escaped almost unscathed. We were lucky, despite strong winds and a big gumtree towering over us from the property behind us, no damage whatsoever.
Lets hope we don't have winds like that again soon.
