Sounds like you've been infected with the browser extension/addon called "Text-Enhance" (do a Google search for "Text-Enhance" to confirm). It's very common and no big deal to disable. In internet explorer open the Tools menu and choose "Manage Add-ons". Unfortunately the addon can have a variety of names so you need to disable each extension/addon in turn until you find the one that fixes the problem. You can then go into control panel and delete it altogether.

Thanks SamDavis,I read what you are saying but will get someone else to sort it out,this kind of stuff does my head in.

i had that before, we downloaded a spyware program to get rid of it

I have no trouble dealing with things like that. I just phone the son, and say fix it. Then watch my computor fix itself. See, it was worth supporting him through uni.
