Nice to know that little zoo is still operational. I have rather fond memories of that one as well. I couldn't remember exactly where it was, but now that you mention the river .... :eureka: Oh well, Alan (my partner) was more interested in visiting the Bundaberg Distillary (the actual reason for our day trip) than another zoo or aviary anyway. Another time maybe.

What is the parrot in the middle pic? Anyone know? There used to be a private bird sanctuary in Abraham St Geraldton when I was a lot younger, it was a wonderland to a kid. But alas when the original owner passed away no one wanted to bother. And the Greenough Wildlife Sanctury is an interesting one to visit if anyone is travelling the WA coast. But it has had considerable ups and downs over the years. Financial mostly. The current owners seem determined to make it work and seem to be succeeding.
