Thanks Guatavo - it wold seem from those photos that the sea green modifies the green but it's still green and is therefore dominant in expression to the blue.

Update on mine and dads Seagreen Gouldians.
My 2 stayed the Seagreen colour and i have paired the 2 up and she is sitting on 4 eggs which i noticed today are just showing the signs of being fertile. My question is does the Seagreen affect the Blues in colour?

Dads Seagreens most coloured out to Normals and 4 Hens retained the Seagreen. These we just paired up to 4 Yh Cocks last weekend.

AMCA26 Hi,mate i can't understand that some of those birds went back to normal colouring,it sounds like they are quite similar to malanistics where most revert back to normal looking birds after a moult or two.
As these birds are split blue,i'm wondering if some of them are being visual to split blue birds more so in some than the others as in Australian yellows with neck patch or white bib patch.
Are we breeding a visual split blue bird that is showing sea green or par blue?
It will be very interesting to see what you breed out of them, maybe blues and sea green visual blue splits. Craig

Dads came from Normals and my 2 birds came from the Blues so they are definately Split Blues. My pair have 4 fertile eggs so i will just have to wait and see what comes of it.
