boiled egg and shell?

I give mine jap quail eggs like this all the time ( when laying )
was confused cause i seen on web pages "when in kitchen put egg shells in microwave for 4 minutes to kill salmonella" was wondering if its same thing with boiled but will heat them up.

Just be careful feeding egg in this weather as it will go off really quick. I don't feed egg as I can't commit to changing it every few hours. Egg shells of course are fine once zapped/cooked.

Any fresh food needs to be taken out soon after serving in this heat ...
