its always a good sale in terms of birds and people but the hall is way too small and its a mad crush. unfortunately for me being allegic to something bird related (probably the dust) i always really struggle to breath in there. being fairly packed in there today i could only do about 20 mins!! a bit crappy when you like birds!!

Maybe try an antihistamine tablet before you go to the next sale Landferno! :) See if it helps.

It was great to see so many finches at the sale. Diamonds were well down on last year. Didn't see any yellow rumps, fewer pictorellas, mask. Red billed longtails look like they will command a premium in the future as I could only find, at best, dark orange billed. Prices seemed to be firm, at least according to the AA price list. By the sounds of things a very successful sale for the breeders which means demand was there. My feeling is that the sale showed a drop in finches requiring a licence. Is this a sign of things to come, especially with a proposed increase in licence costs?

ive tried a whole world of antihistamines but with little luck. whenever i spend anytime in the aviary or clean it out i wear a face mask, thats about the only thing that works. any large bird shops or setups without much ventilation and im a mess, this is the only vic sale ive been too where i have this issue as most are in larger or higher roofed halls. id feel like a bit of a goose if i walked around the sale with my mask on!!!

Best take a face mask to the next sale, helps your breathing and you might be able to spend more time there.

I wore my AFF polo shirt to the sale & I had a couple of members that spotted me & came and introduced themselves. When one doesn't know who are members, it is a good way of recognition in a large croud. When they said "I must get one" I informed them there was no interest when I posted it on the forum months ago. Pity.

There must have been some misunderstanding somewhere along the line as the last email I had from you on 18th August 2012 said that someone was going away and you were waiting for confirmation of costings. Have forwarded this to you via email.
