By a very primitive method.
When I strike them, I pick up a bit on the spade flick the big ants off.
They stay in the bin with the termites, and get fed out with them.

I've never tried to store them.

The funniest thing I've seen is in an arboreal termite nest was a carpet snake about 8 foot long( most of it was hanging out)I think it was asleep because 2 hours later it hadn't moved an inch next morning it was gone obviously thought it was an Ostrich.
