Winter has been a mixed bag over here in WA ...
Ive have TCPFs with a clutch of 4 , Diamonds with a surprise clutch of 6 , Melbas with a clutch of 4 , Singers with 2 and Blue Caps on eggs .... my Diamonds are unstoppable !!! This is their 3rd clutch since beginning of autumn.
Winter was supposed to be renovation time for me while the colony was in down time , but , with the staggering of clutches I've been reluctant to take out nest facilities , also I fear egg binding in this weather if they are so insistent on breeding and not have the facilities to do so ... so I let them go
With the s4 you will need to check the cameras settings ... you can choose what mega pixel you wish to use also the preset functions are amazingly good , allowing capture of birds in flight with excellent detail .
Persevere and you will get the hang of it .... I've had mine for a few months and have really only just got the hang of it
