Welcome to the forum. Pleased to say my 13yr old Jack Russell is still a good ratter despite her failing eyesight. If you can get a Jack Russell who can learn to get rats and not bother finches you will go a long way to solving the problem. The are vigilant hunters, and the getting of rats comes naturally to them.

Welcome to the forum Glenng.
You wouldn't have happened to have spent your childhood/youth in Sans Souci would you?
Welcome and good luck with the rebuild.
Ken.

I have a 13 year old jack russell with failing eyesight and is deaf as a post but the only way he could kill a rat is to snore it to death!!!!

Glenng,
I thought it was you, the clues fell together, gouldians, 1965, Ulladulla, "Glenng". Had heard over the years (many) that you were down that way. Good to have you on board. I know that Mad Dog is at Ungarie and was into finches before he left Sydney. Last caught up with him at Jimmy Taylors funeral. I gather "Fezza" is Glen Fairbairn. Give me a call, would be great to hear from you. 0416912176.
Cheers
Ken.
