My kids are down your end of the city, but I am 500ks up the coast, so the conditions are considerable different at times. And jolly similar at others. But I think regardless of where we are in this big country one of the first things we discover is the importance of protecting our small feathered friends from the cold winds, and sweltering heat. Depending on the time of year.

Yes they can be quite fragile little beings. I had the aviary covered up last night with the wild weather. The wind has been very strong in the recent storms. It's quite funny to go out in the wild weather to check on them and they are happily flying around, seemingly unaware of what is happening outside the cage!

Wild and wooly weather up here too and my Double Bars, Javas and Gouldians are happily fledging young. Crazy little critters.
