Blue-faced Honeyeaters, which are opportunists of the first order, prefer using old G-C Babblers nests to building their own

And

As Matcho pointed out, the 'opportunists' in the human world often deter people from attempting projects such as this aviary

Grey-crowned are the most likely, they are or have been kept at Cleland and Featherdale.

Hi! Many thanks for posting a link to my photo of the aviary! I wish I could have taken a better picture, but I grabbed an opportunity while there was no one in shot

As promised in another thread, I wnet back to the RSL club and was able to get a slightly better shot of the aviary. The birds however, were hard to see - they blended in so well! Not sure who built it, but apparently it is about 15 metres long and 5 wide! There is a thread on another forum about the aviary, from 2010 http://www.zoochat.com/24/aviculturalis ... dex13.html

I am beginning to think of it not so much a club with an aviary attached, but a club for birds with human exhibits attached for their entertainment:)
