Strop at 6.20pm tonight it was 39c as for today high 40 something but decided not to look.
Birds are ok but I have pumped literally 1000's of lts of water into the complex.
A few chicks have bailed out early but the should be fine.
It is now 10.30pm and the hoses are still going,all across the ground, overheads go off before dark.
I am lucky I have my own water bore that produces in excess of 1500 gal per hour.

All I can do David is pray for all you folk down that way because from time to time I have to go thru the same thing, all the best mate , hope you don't have to many losses.

I have found in the past when the temp. exceeds 42c I can virtually write off all eggs as they seem to addle.
Also unfeathered chicks die as well, I am not sure if they dehydrate or the parents are just too hot to feed as frequently
as they have to. With the aviary floor wet most of the birds go to ground under a shrub and just spend as much time there
as possible.I just leave them alone as moving them is unacceptable.
