The animal shelter in Geelong will NO LONGER put animals down. The trouble is, the owners collect them, take them home & the trouble starts over again. Check what you have caught & see if you catch the same cat again. Cats here are suppose to be LOCKED up from sunset to sunrise, but not many do. Loz.

back when I was young, there was less sensitivity....... the things that were suggested, and done to dispatch cats. Times have changed for the better, but it was pretty much the norm back then.

The last cat I took to the shelter a couple of months ago I questioned the staff what happends, they said " If the cats are chipped the owners get contacted if they want the cat they pay a fee to get the cat released and their details are passed on to council, if the cats are not claimed or rehomed within two weeks then they are put down".loz wrote:The animal shelter in Geelong will NO LONGER put animals down.
