^^^Yeah same here.

On page one of this topic I posted a link from another finch forum that Wildbill is currently active on updating his progression of this mutation and his last post was yesterday (I think) stating he is now setting breeding boxes up.

Pretty sure he is breeding double split to double split (I could be wrong) so with the odds of getting a wanted visual he will need a few pairs set up to enhance his chances.

Never the less good luck to him.

On another note I do struggle to pick the difference of a lime and normal even after looking at a aviary full not so long ago.
It will be interesting to see the effect of what this so called lime mutation has on the Blue.

Rich.

Hi J_Robbo,
I was once registered on this forum but haven't login in for a long long time and now I cant log in, maybe my account has been de-activated due to its inactive use.
But if you want to go back to page 1 of this topic the link to the development of these birds still work. Might pay to see if this works for you.

thanks -you were spot on-it was only a mater of time...lol

well if it was possible ...yes but I sold all the adult lots to start over again but kept their split and possible split young . this year I can walk out to the aviaries look at the stock and know they owe me absolutely nothing so there is no pressure on me to try and recover thousands of $$$$ the new owner is very pleased -no names - very first nest 2 limes and a blue/lime-
so in a way it's a good feeling for me to just go out and feed them and just get on the motor bike and ride off and not think about how I will or if ever recover from the outlay in such a bad temp zone. so when I decided to do the northern territory trip I knew they would probably be dead when we returned 6 weeks later because no-one looks after the feathers as good as the owner so I moved them out. plus spent the cash on the trip...lol
over the past few days I have set up 35 pairs which include 25 pair of possible lime/blue splits plus the other are either a few blue or white breasted or split blue. so it will be interesting what happens this year and if something good comes up I will post you up some photos
