Its not a good time for finches in southern Vic the last few days. She is defiantly not well and as you can see is coming into or is in breeding condition to add to this stress. Instead of a heater heating the whole annex a small radiant heater (heat lamp) beside the wire would be more cost effective. And to be safe in a few days or while you have a heat lamp near the birds treat them to be sure for airsac mite.Pm if you want moxidectin or moxidectin plus.Good luck with them.

Yes I would put a drop of moxi on that hen..just to be sure.... and as gomer said heat is always good for an unwell bird...

By the time it's takes me to order and receive the moxi, it'll still be ok for her?
How long does it take for the mites to make them really sick..
There's a lot of clicking going on with one bird in particular.

Sorry about all the fuss, I just don't want the little fellas to suffer.

There's a lot to learn with bird keeping, but I'm sure after a few years a mite attack will be a non-event lol

It'll be close to zero tonight, glad I made the cage heaters.......

I'm glad you mentioned the young, wasn't sure if they can get moxi or not.

Cheers.
