Ok Sounds a bit like somebody has latched on to only the part of the presentation that confirmed their own experiences. And chose not to listen too much to the rest. Lot of encouragement to the others who will listen, to work with splits and outcrossing then. Cheers for the feedback.

While it seems that across the board the quality of Blue Gouldians seems better from Vic.( Melbourne) than those from NSW.
After saying the above please understand that not all people selling Gouldians in NSW are breeding below par birds.
The bad reputation most likely started from an individual that was breeding birds purely on the basis of quantity(not quality) and
how much money could be made. I am reasonable sure that they were Bengalese raised and I doubt if they were ever out crossed.
With experience and time the over all quality will improve and a new problem will arise most likely with another new mutation.

I have 4yr old Blue Hen breeders rearing still 5-7 young in a clutch.

Thank you. It would appear that it is just a matter of breeding to strong outcrosses as it was with the original white breasteds, and types of yellows to build up the strength of the strain then. And this is good news, as well as being logical.
