Congratulations. It is always a good thing to increase the breeding results of our birds and to do it while making things easier is brilliant. :thumbup:

Great to hear - especially the Melbas.
I got a pair recently and was feeling guilty abut not heading out for termites. Maybe mine will succeed without them too.

Just an update re the progress on maggots only breeding.
I have since posting this topic had another batch of (3) redbrows, 2 Red Face Ptyllias, and just last week another batch (3) of Melbas.
Cant say it has been a good season this year with mixed results - but I guess better to have some on the perch then none.

You have done very well if your breeding birds have had the taste of termites before you got them.Your breeding will only get better from those young if you keep them as future breeders as they do not know what a termite is.Well done and send a few maggot bred Melba's down here when you have excess stock.
