Snake in aviary! Please help!

We get gwaders here every summer. And they are venomous sods. Fortunately they prefer mice to finches, which is why they come with the anual mouse invasion of the area. But they follow them and go for the water bowls, as a reliable drinking spot.

I'm a bit paranoid now, venturing in there. Good thing I didn't notice the snake immediately I lifted the cage up, otherwise I would have dropped everything! I spotted him when I looked back

I've confirmed that my (only
) pied RFPF hen is missing. Always seems to be those that are lost to predators first. Then again, this hen had only one eye - a large disadvantage in a situation like this

There were some smaller bumps in the snake's body too, which I believe were a crop of recently hatched babies, as there's been no chirping since.
