hi luke its their first time breeding sometimes it takes them a couple of clutches to get it right some pairs do not like nest inspections some are ok with them you usaly find out the hard way which ones dont.
egss remain viable for 10/12 days after being hatched depending on when icubation starts.
you can candle the eggs to see if clear.
i usaly let them sit on eggs for about 24 days before i remove eggs they stop sitting after awhile if they think eggs no good.
have had some hens lay 8 to 10 eggs in one go then the next time they go down
lay 4/6 and all gos good.

ok thanks for all the help. im just stressing im going canada on wednesday ni dont want to leave eggs to rott in the box when there could be a fresh set in there but i also cant bring my self to take the eggs out incease all goes well

i would let nature take its course if eggs no good they will build over them and start again in own time.
