Although the mystery is solved, just want to add that we call them Leatherheads around here.

Bifcus is the shortened name birders give the Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike although I generally say Bufcus (just pronunciation).
Leatherheads aren't Bifcus, they're Friarbirds.

The correct pronunciation should be . . 'bufcuz' :silent:

And, yes 'Leatherheads' are Friar Birds . . and, noisy ones at that ;-)
