Just buggers when you open the aviary door coz they are so fast , they dont get treated any different to my other finches except maybe they will need some live food come breeding season.
They are the funniest buggers , and often Ill catch them lined up on the perch looking at me as if Im the one in the cage and of course theres the roosting positions , always together and always on top of each other or huddled up close it looks like one bird with 6 heads :lol:
They also seem to be the first to let out warning sounds when there are other birds in the yard .
Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.

They are a very cute finch.The only problem is getting a good breeding pair.I have had some that breed well.and others i keep for a few years that never breed.

Yes i have heard that before they can be hard to get going, wouldn't mind some myself

Have heard they can be tricky to breed , I was advised to put 6 in together and wait . Whether they breed or not they are just good value for their antics . And of course if they breed then BONUS....
