It is now 5.30 and the convention has finished.
In truth I was a little concerned about the subjects being presented
but I was totally wrong. The convention was a total success and the
QFS did themselves proud. Sadly we now have wait until Finches 20
comes around.

A certain speaker on friday night about how manufacturer aviarys are not appealing to the eye. And vets not knowing more about birds.

Not hard to upset people these days . . :silent:

As long as the 'heat' generated a little 'light'

The Friday guest was Don Bourke.
Having listened to him in the past he was true to form.
Forthright in his opinions and not backward in saying what he thought.
Was rather hard with his comments on our Vets, commercial aviary suppliers and various other
sections of aviculture.
Whether you agree or disagree with him he definitely got people talking which is very good.
As mentioned previously I went thinking that the topics would only be so so.
I was totally wrong and only missed one lecture. I found them most interesting, easy to follow
entertaining and I came away learning a lot.
Those interested should try and access the white copy(notes) of the lectures
the Qld Finch Society did themselves proud.
GB you cracked it for a mention in the last Finches & Softbill magazine
