Okay, so its okay to admit it......

A very funny story... I had a similar event happen probably 20 years ago. You're going to know the outcome as soon as I mention it.

I had an outstanding fly colony, so much so, despite my best attempts not to lose any flies when opening the door to add more bran/sugar/water etc, I would always lose like 20 or so. As such, I started to build up bit of a spider collection ( mostly daddy long legs but also redbacks & whitetails) on the roof & in the corners of my shed. So I covered up the box with a towel & ever so gently, popped the smallest of all squirts of spider & insect spray onto the spiders & webs & nowhere in the direction of the flybox.

Well despite having the fly box completely covered, the next day, all were dead - except one - "Bluey" & he went on to recolonize with the hatching pupae.

I hope you had a laugh, it certainly brings a laugh when your with a group of friends enjoying a beer or wine & they have no idea about lengths we go to to enjoy our hobby.
