Agree with everything that has been said. I'd like to see some "no thread necromancy" rules in place, but I also worry that if everyone jumps on new members for innocently reviving an old thread, it won't make us look very friendly and hospitable.
Perhaps an unwritten policy of quietly messaging infringing new members and nicely explaining that thread necromancy defies the forum's established decorum would be sufficient.
