Likewise grew up with a backyard that looked like the local bird park, with cockys, parrotts, lovebirds, doves, budgies and finches.
Dad passed on some years back but mum is still soldiering on with many of the birds, particularly her beloved budgies. Being a girl I got away with not having to catch the sods. But had to do regular mouse removals ( that was until in my enthusiasm I brained a quail instead of a mouse)

even female budgies have a good nip for a small parrot.

Its not so much the bite but the fact that they dont let go , even my old staffy will let go when told to lol

yes budgies give a nasty bite. hate lorikeets bites too

Yes all the hookbill's I have bite, personally I find the smaller species the worst, especially Budgies and lovebirds and, at the risk of offending all the female members

, it's nearly always the hen's that are the hardest biters

I always found that albino & lutino budgies had the worst bite and they are almost exclusively female

apparently its the same with the mozzies, females are the ones that bite!
