used to keep budgies & zebras together without any trouble.
the aviary did seem to be populated on two levels though. budgies nesting up high while the zebs would build about half way

A mate used to keep them together to.I think the main problems would be with young zebs and budgies.

The problem is playful young budgies or lovebirds looking for playthings and not being fussy about weather the "toys" are birds too.
If you are having trouble with budgies in aviarys with nest boxs, it is probably because you have not allowed at least one more nest than you have female budgies. Experienced budgy breeders will tell you that every female budgie must have a choice of nest if you don't want fights. (Surely you knew women need to be able to choose) :lol:
But the best thing to do is just cabinet breed them and get the birds you want. :D

You have got the birds in a very much less sheltered aviary than what they were in and mine had brush for them to camp in at night aswell.
