I loved this mouse trap story!
I made a much more rudimentary trap when I was 12 using a long neck beer bottle with food at the cap end, and a very thin viscosity oil over the rest of the bottle, caught heaps of mice in a hay shed! instead of the spinning tin can.
I like the can model much more, like watching WIPEOUT FOR MICE
