I believe you'll find that almost all of us use coopex inside our aviaries, if mixed correctly it is safe for the birds.

as mick said inside and out anyware you may think the ants have access to food.....making sure do dont directly spray the food dish as i once got to carried away.as not only will they eat your supply of live food they can get into bird nest and cause a bit of trouble.... ...pete
