Hi the zebras are getting along fine but they still have no eggs why is this i am sure that i have a male and female is there a way to tell

Hey Dean there are a few ways to tell if you have a male or a female zebra

The males will sing and the males also have a redder beak then the females the females beak is usually more orange not as red as the males

Take a look at there beaks and see if one of them has a redder beak

Hi steven thanks for the reply but they just lay one egg today so i have a male and a female i hope they lay more then one

That's good news mate yeah they will have a few more eggs maybe 3 or more and she will start sit on them when once the third egg is lay

How long does it take for zebra finch eggs to hatch

from memory (which aint always reliable) I think it is 14 - 16 days
