So that's what a full scale finch sale looks like. I have drooled and now i AM Crying. All those lovely finches and some within my price range, and me on the wrong side of the country.

This years Bendigo Bird Sale was a big surprise, not because of its size(Orange is probably 10 times bigger)but for the number of very rare
species offered for sale.Infact some of the birds there you would never expect to be offered on the open market. Admittedly alot were there because of the two people going out of birds. It was quite a surprise. I am sure quite alot were sold over the phone last night and today from interstate buyers.
I met one of our Forum members and it is good to to put a face to a name.
Even though as it turned out I had to leave early I did buy a couple of Weaver hen birds which was a surprise.
I think Shepparton sale is next and that one is generally quite good.Bird Sales are a good outing even if you do not want to buy anything.

Wow your pictures turned out really good... Finchster and I were at the sale but because he bought some birds we had to rush back to Melbourne and make sure they were released early enough during the day. THey were blue caps and they look fantastic... I want sum! lol

Plus we also bought lots of fresh seed millet which we had to go and sort through it took ages.... the things we do for birds lol

The next one we will be at will be peninsula so let me know anyone who goes and maybe this time we can have a chance to meet.

Cheers,
Soph :)
