My email account was ok yesterday and I also come off the net each day and have my security do scans overnight so Im hoping everything is ok, Im running more scans as I speak which is slowing the pc down  but it has to be done. The hacker also redirected incoming and outgoing emails so I have had to fix that up too. Something to be aware of if it happens to anyone else.

First thing to do is CHANGE ALL PASSWORDS for any important accounts, banking etc then send yourself an email, if it dosnt come back to you check and see if there is a strange email address in your options re forwarding emails etc.

I will post a email link I got for yahoo in a separate topic just in case this happens to any one else, as I found it really difficult to get a contact anything for yahoo

The send youself an e-mail if you are worried that something has gone astray, is something I should have remembered to mention. Other half does it regularly as a safety measure. Being paranoid, hey the best security geeks were teenage hackers. I refuse to do anything involving money on the net. Hope it is all resolved soon Diane, they sound like pretty sofisticated spammers.

sending my self an email was one of the first things I did. Also changes all passwords on everything.
