I have been breeding Grenadier Weavers as well as other Weavers and Whydahs since 1969
or should I say too long.
Weavers will in my opinion breed better in square dimmensioned aviaries as it gives them better useable space to display in.
Getting them to start breeding is the easy part, rearing the chicks is a little harder.
The advantage of Grenadiers over the smaller finches, they are far tougher and stand up to enclement weather well and they are long lived as they take at least 18/24 months to become fully adult.
