The nodules are the spots or markings on the side of the mouth that they lose with maturing.

Call me spoilt,but my 4 chicks all have the blue ish nodules.

Dissapointed because my cock bird is Australian yellow, my hen is split for australian yellow

They are being fed which is a bonus

I get the distinct impression you are meddling far too much with the birds.
Leave them be they do not need your assistance, if you keep looking and annoying them you can bet that
the parents will dump them.
Even if the parents stopped feeding them what would you do,try and feed small chicks by hand!!!
As for taking photos no way wait until they have had a nest or two then you can risk photos.
If you want success let them be and check every 3 or 4 days if you must.
