As mentioned before. When each shipment of seed comes in I always shoot half a handful.
It is always 95% plus as the supplier looks after me but I still do it for piece of mind.
Sunflower seed is a mild narcotic and should be fed in limited amounts.
White Cockys fed mainly Sunflower will scream and go through withdrawl if you stop feeding it.
This I have seen and experienced with birds in rehab (for a better name).
