I'll believe it when I see it I'm afraid, that's at least the second date they've advertised since this time last year.Ripley wrote:Hello All,

It most ceratinly is! I'm looking forward to hearing about it. I think this project been on the go , for at least five years or more.
I'll need to have a extra dollars in my wallet to purchase it!! If , of course, it's avilable.
As a side bar, reading between the lines, in the latest magazine, Paul *censored*, the publisher of 'Just Finches & Softbills' will be attending the conference as well...Should be interesting to chat with him about his experiences etc.
Cheers

Well.....
* It isn't Mark Shepard's, it is technically Joseph Forshaw's with assistance from Mark Shepard. Apparently this lack of distinction has been causing some angst in certain scholarly circles.
* It was apparently never slated to be a "launch" at the conference, and from what I was told Mark had never expected to be there.
* Price confirmed as $185, published by CSIRO.
* Current anticipated release date is August 2012. As an author in the past, I'm so glad my books didn't get postponed that often, the software would have been out of date before the book even hit the shelves

Finally . . finally
The long awaited Grassfinches in Australia is due to arrive instore in August. To celebrate this landmark publication Andrew Isles will be hosting the official book launch on August 22nd. Joe Forshaw, Mark Shephard and Tony Pridham will be present and available to sign copies that have been preordered or purchased on the night. Make sure you preorder now to ensure an author signed copy and be eligible to receive an exclusive invitation to this event. Space is limited for the book launch and those customers who preorder a copy will be given preference to attend.
Looks pretty definite this time
If you live in Melbourne, might be a good night out . . get in early??
Edit: Or perhaps a good day out??
