Thanks for putting me onto this book. I wasn't aware of it before. When I got it, I started to read it before wrapping and was very impressed. Then when Dad was unwrapping and realised it was a book he said "don't tell me this is that latest book by kingston" with plenty of excitement in his tone! (Geez I'm glad it was otherwise he would have been dissappointed). Needless to say, he loved it.
Thanks again.

I was talking to Russell K the other evening and during conversation I asked him how the book was selling.
In his own words "I was amazed at how many have sold prior to Xmas"
This is pleasing as anyone who goes to the trouble he did deserves success and all those people who now have access
to a very good reference book.

No problems Mick he will appreciate that.
It may interest. He is building a new large flight, when I inquired how big he said the door must be big enough to drive my tractor through.
He either has a very very small tractor or it will be some flight.
At this stage I will most likely see it convention time.
It may be interesting just to see how many of Aussie Finch site members will be attending the Qld Finch Club convention April/May

I'm after a share of 31mil too mickp....so good luck to you.
Orix, Russell K's home base is bonza birds? its very impressive from the photo in his book.
good luck to him with his "drive-in" aviary....maybe he can keep a couple of species going so we all get the chance to see/keep them.
I know Mike Fidlers place is good but i want to see the K mans setup....one day.

Russell and Indras new home is several hours out of Brisbane
After Greg and Russell closed Bonza birds both their set ups were far far smaller.
The new set up sounds like it will be extensive, that is provided they are not washed away as it is apparently very very
wet there at the moment.
Both Russells and Mike F's methods are very different, but both very good and work very well.
At this stage i hope to visit the RK establishment when in Qld for the convention.
We have even had success with Mike now converting part of his set up to the Aust.planted aviary type.
he is even very successful already. Another convert to keeping the Weaver family.

Delighted to hear the present suggestion worked.
Definately a big thanks for the book to Russel K from everyone on the Forum I think.
Guys I hate to disapoint you but 50% of Australia is trying to win Lotto. So if 10 of us on here all win, that's $3.1m each. Lots of finches and avairys and bigger blocks.
