Should I check their crops tomorrow do you think, or will that make them all jump out?

If you haven't seen the parents going in there to feed the young, than I would check them you have nothing to lose.
IMO its a bad sign when the parents are more focused on building a new nest rather than bringing up their young. Perhaps you can hand raise the remaining young.
All the best.

Breathing easier now, one chick was out of the nest when I got up this morning and just watched the second one fledge! Both look great (more mature than the one who died) and being fed very frequently now by male. Thanks everyone for advice, so glad I didn't have to intervene. Now to quickly put some wire covers over water bowls in case they land in them. Would like to rebrush for fresh nesting sites as male building in a basket right up near aviary roof and think it will be way too hot, but will leave it till tomorrow so as not to disturb them at all today.

Not sure if they're just very relaxed chicks or have been fed so frequently today they don't need to follow parents around begging. It's always a relief to get them safely fledged. The last one who had red on chest on fledging has turned out to be a male, neither of these two has any so will be interesting to see what sex they turn out to be.
