good idea but for your peace of mind they are generally strong enough to ...as Buzz ( Lightyear )would say "fall with style " to the ground without hurting themselves.

so they take longer in the nestbox and at 7-8 weeks are they weaned or is it a lie

7 0r 8 weeks Shanny at least and then you need to watch them for a few days to see them eating on their own ....the fist few times you see them eating they are actually only learning how to crack the seed ...
They should also at this stage be offered different types of soft food , fruit and veg and eggs to get those little bodies nice and strong ( and calcium ).

yes well males are good at annoying the female of the species ... just comes naturally.
I dont know shanny , this is the first clutch , I would be making notes so you get an idea of what is normal behaviour for your pair . Maybe she wants to double clutch , often a good idea to have 2 nests in one aviary for such occasions.
Keep an eye on them and note down unusual behaviour but at the same time give them space ... just watch for aggression towards the young , mum and dad can hash it out but the babies cant defend themselves.

what about cleaning the next box as there are eggs in there that are bad eggs?
